Meaningful change begins in the body.
Creaturae is a trauma-informed somatic coaching and consulting practice founded by Deborah Lee in New York City, working with individuals and organizations around the world.
A survivor, a systems thinker, and a guide back to the body.

Deborah's work centers on healing-centered, neuroscience-based leadership that bridges the mind-body connection. She supports individuals and organizations navigating trauma, stress, burnout, and high-stakes relational dynamics.
As a trauma survivor and systems thinker, she integrates nervous system regulation, embodied leadership, and trauma science to support change that lasts. Her somatic approach draws on Somatic EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mind-body awareness.
She hosts the All Things Uncomfortable podcast and facilitates experiential workshops including Embodied Leadership and Somatic Paths to Healing. All of her coaching and workshops are offered online, so she works with clients wherever they are.
Alongside her practice, Deborah is completing her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she researches Empathetic AI: how thoughtfully designed tools can support emotional regulation and relational healing. Her research on Empathetic AI and the loneliness epidemic received the Best AI Poster Award at the China Institute in America.
Why this practice exists
Creaturae was created to address a deep need: the lack of trauma-informed spaces that support psychological safety and the complexity of lived experience.
Mission
To break cycles of trauma in the organizations people spend their lives inside, equipping teams with the emotional regulation tools that create psychologically safe, high-performing cultures.
Vision
A world where every institution is a place people leave better than they arrived, where lasting growth comes from genuine connection and cooperation rather than pressure or compliance.
Values
We listen before we prescribe. Lasting change starts at the nervous system level, where real safety in the mind and body creates the conditions for genuine growth.
